Syncrude Heavy Equipment Operator
Syncrude Heavy Equipment Operator prepares women to begin their careers driving and operating many different types of equipment including: heavy hauler trucks, crawler dozers, graders, hydraulic and electric shovels, as well as other heavy equipment up to 400 tons. Classroom training consists of two weeks in Fort McMurray, followed by fully paid, hands-on field training with Syncrude starting in January.
Program Length: 2 weeks classroom training followed by 364 day paid co-op

Admission Requirements:
- Proof of residency for Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo
- Class 5 Drivers License
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Resume

Students will receive ongoing support from a WBF Alumni Advisor during training and the paid co-op terms to ensure career success.
