August 12, 2015 - Edmonton, Alberta. SureHire renews agreement with Women Building Futures!  SureHire has been a huge success for Women Building Futures with the professional testing they've done for our programs and the help that they have provided with our assessment process. July 27, 2015 - Edmonton, Alberta. Canadian Natural and Northern Gateway Pipelines partner with WBF to help women overcome barriers to success. July 23, 2015 - Edmonton, Alberta. The federal government is expanding training and skills development opportunities for women by investing more than two million dollars in the Women Building Futures Heavy Equipment Operator Program. To read the full article by the Journal of Commerce click here. 

July 7, 2015 – Edmonton, Alberta – Today, the Honourable Michelle Rempel, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification, announced an investment of $2,097,375 to expand the Women Building Futures’ (WBF) Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) Program. Today’s investment will allow WBF to acquire assets that promote the long-term sustainability and delivery of their HEO training program for students. Additionally, federal funding will secure simulator equipment that supports HEO training at WBF. Click here for details.

June 2015– CLAC Magazine. Building Careers. An article featuring WBF and interviews with two of our grads, Karen Mohr and Shannon Godlien, both Journeymen working for CLAC companies.
